Den Dvacet Jedna – 24 Července 2015: Staré Město (Old Town)

Coming soon...

Statue of St. Wenceslas in front of the National Museum in Wenceslas Square.

The Astronomical Clock on the side of Old Town Hall, ringing nine o'clock.

The view of Old Town Square, the Hussite Memorial, and the Church of Our
Lady Before Tyn from the tower on Old Town Hall.

The altar of the Spanish Synagogue in Prague's Jewish Quarter.
The Jewish Ceremonial Hall and cemetery.
The Jewish Cemetery in Prague's Jewish Quarter.

The Pinkas Synagogue in Prague's Jewish Quarter.  The name of every Jew taken from Prague and killed in a concentration camp during the Holocaust is written in the walls of the synagogue.  In order to fit all of the names, it requires the use of every wall in multiple rooms on two floors of the synagogue - about 77,000 names in all.

Some of the names (along with the dates they were taken from Prague) on one of the sections of wall in the Pinkas Synagogue.

The Mirror Chapel in the Klementium, where we saw a fantastic strings concert.

Prague's Petrin Tower - made to look like the Eiffel Tower and reaching the same elevation, except this one does it by being built on top of a hill.  It gave incredible views of Prague at night.

Prague Castle, St. Nicholas Church, the Charles Bridge, and the rest of Prague lit up at night.
